Save Money at Amazon.com
Amazon.com has some great savings opportunities but I am here to tell you exactly what you need to do to maximize your savings opportunities at the online retail giant.
The first thing that can make Amazon’s low prices start to disappear is when you end up having to pay shipping. When $5 shipping is added to your $17 DVD the price suddenly doesn’t seem so low.
The easiest thing you can do to save when ordering from Amazon.com is to make sure you always spend the minimum to be eligible for Free Super Saver Shipping (it is $25 as of this article’s creation date).
The problem is locating items that qualify for Free Super Saver Shipping. Amazon also lists a myriad of used items from other sellers that do not qualify for the Free Super Saver Shipping. I know that when my shopping cart total is sitting at $21 and I just need a $4 item to be eligible for free shipping that I look for something inexpensive to add to my cart and a lot of times that ends up being a used item that is not eligible for free shipping.
However, there is an amazing solution to this problem. Amazon allows third-party developers to link to and search their database through the Amazon Web Services (AWS) program. Apparently, some web developers got tired of always adding items to their shopping carts that didn’t qualify for Super Saver Shipping too so they created a website that filters out the used items.
The service is free to use. So next time you want to make sure the items your’e looking for qualify for free shipping go to http://www.isearchbetter.com/. This is definitely a lot easier than having to sort through both new and used items yourself.
The next thing you should do when trying to save money from Amazon.com is to add all the items that you want to your wish list. Then, go over to http://www.wishradar.com and sign up for a free account. Here you can import your Amazon.com wish list, and set what price you would be willing to pay for every item on your wish list. When the price falls at either Amazon.com or Half.com you are notified by email so that you can make the purchase when the price is reasonable.
